  1. The ministry receives the building permit application form with the owner details, Plot details and consultant details and all required documents attached.
  2. Schedules the appointment for the field visit to carry out technical inspection of the site.
  3. Conducts the technical inspection and prepare the technical report for the site with the site photos attached clarifying its features.
  4. Approves the permit and detailed maps by its engineers.
  5. The required fees are paid by the applicant and the application is transferred to the municipality director for approval.
  6. Issues the building permit to be accessed by the applicant in the portal and a copy of permit and maps is kept in the municipality.
  7. The applicant is notified with the process steps, additional required documents or clarifications needed with SMS and Email services.

  1. If the renter is a previous renter the Existing lease contract should be provided.
  2. Schedules the appointment for the site visit to carry out technical inspection of the site.
  3. Conducts the site visit to verify the provision of a fence or a wall around the plot according to the specifications and a project board according to the model prepared before the implementation in the case of new projects.
  4. The required fees for the permit and fees of waste removal deposit (based on the required building area) are paid by the applicant.
  5. Issue of building permit and deliver it in the site.
  6. The applicant is notified with the process steps, additional required documents or clarifications needed with SMS and Email services.
  7. Note:
    • Submit a follow-up implementation report by the consultant before the start of any construction phase listed on the report. The municipality inspect and approve the report.
    • The consultant is required to supervise the buildings that increase the cost of the (10,000 Rial Omani- ten thousand RO).

  1. The ministry receives the application form with all the required documents attached.
  2. Schedules the appointment for the field visit to carry out technical inspection of the site.
  3. Conducts technical inspection to approve the existence of the requirements.
  4. After the completion of the technical inspection, the report is prepared and forwarded to the municipal engineer to review the plans.
  5. The Engineer approves the permit form and Survey Sketch ( Krooki )es and forwards them to the head of the section for approval.
  6. The required fees and waste removal deposit are paid by the applicant.
  7. The municipality director approves the permit.
  8. The permit is issued to be accessed by the contractor in the portal and a copy is kept in the municipality.
  9. The applicant is notified with the process steps, additional required documents or clarifications needed with SMS and Email services.
